About Us

Fursa Poa Behaviour-Led Agrifood Platform

Fursa Poa (good opportunity) is a behaviour-led platform transforming Africa’s agrifood systems by putting people at the centre nourishing communities, creating inclusive economic opportunities, and championing sustainability through locally driven behaviour change.

At CBCC, agriculture is more than just a sector, it’s a calling and passion rooted in years of hands-on experience and impact. From empowering farmers with modern agronomic knowledge and strengthening seed systems, to weaving Social and Behaviour Change into agribusiness practices, our journey in agriculture has been both purposeful and transformative.

We have built a strong reputation for delivering results across Kenya and the broader East African region. Behind this success is a dedicated team of specialists each bringing expertise in behavioural science, behavioural economics, and human-centred design, programme design, implementation, and community engagement. Together, we turn bold ideas into thriving, community-owned agricultural solutions.

Our approach

CBCC's 4E Approach to Social and Behaviour Change in Agriculture

At CBCC, we recognize that Agrifood systems innovations only matter if they are adopted, adapted, and sustained by the people who need them most. Our Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) framework puts human behaviour, social norms, and community voices at the centre of transforming agriculture, agribusiness, and nutrition outcomes across Kenya and Africa. Our approach is grounded in evidence, empathy, engagement and empowerment enabling farming communities to make informed, practical, and sustainable choices that align with their realities, aspirations, and local systems. The 4Es are;

Evidence

We combine evidence, behavioural science, and human-centred design to understand behaviours, barriers, and motivators, co-creating practical, inclusive Agrifood systems solutions grounded in the real experiences of farmers.

Empathy

By engaging directly with farmers and community members, we ensure our interventions are culturally sensitive and resonate with local experiences and values.

Engagement

Through participatory methods, we foster active involvement from stakeholders at all levels, ensuring ownership and sustainability of behaviour change initiatives.

Empowerment

We equip individuals and communities with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to make informed decisions and adopt sustainable Agrifood systems practices.
